That title is a bit "the house that Jack built" so let me explain what this is about. Let's say you have a Drupal website and you're using CCK to hold some piece of data or content. Let's also say you want to have a block which takes that CCK field's content and adds it to a link (which could be internal or external). This is one way to do that.

First, ensure your CCK field has been created. You'll also need Views, so install that.

Now create a new View with a block display.

Click on the plus symbol to add a "Field", scroll down to find your CCK field and click Add.

forDrupal.com's Platino theme is designed for social websites, its demo displaying it incorporated with the Flag module, and some custom PHP work to pull that information into user profiles, and displays on nodes.

This is both the good and the bad of the theme (read Features section for more).

Continuing the original review of premium Drupal themes post, and by request, I've put a small review together of one of ThemeSnap.com's Drupal themes.

My original hesitance to review ThemeSnap was the cost of the themes, however; the cost of the themes have recently been reduced to between $89 and $99 each.

Drupal has quickly become my favorite CMS for its flexibility and feature-set. Even for a basic site or a general blog I now use Drupal. Creating pages, polls, posts and administering permissions is very easy. Out of the box Drupal does a lot very well, and with just a few adjustments, it's a powerful SEO platform.

Below is a rundown of what I typically do after a standard Drupal installation to get the most SEO value out of it, including modifications to themes, modules I install, and a few other tidbits.
